Ministerial Experience:
|
No Direct Experience. However, I was in Galman du Plaa, Haiti, for all of 2006 as the Interim Director of the Center for Biblical Training (CBT). In that capacity, I preached sermons in both English and Creole in about 15 different churches, ministered to the sick, elderly, and orphans. I helped the Haitian ministers with computer generated materials in Creole for distribution to the lost in their communities.
Prior to my accepting the position as CBT Interim Director, I had made nine mission trips to Haiti, starting in January, 1999, with the last few being as a team leader. During all but one of these mission trips, which lasted from one – three weeks, I traveled to the various Churches of Christ in Northern Haiti, giving out benevolence which typically consisted of Bibles, beans, rice, and cash. The one time that I did not do extensive travel in Haiti was in 2002, when I was a guest teacher at the school in the Book of James.
Also prior to my accepting the position as CBT Interim Director, I was the Evangelization Director at the Chesapeake Church of Christ. In this position, I taught classes on Creation Evangelism to both the Young Adults and Mature Adults. I also led door knocking teams and explored other avenues to spread the Gospel of Jesus to the lost.

Doctrinal Statement:
|
I believe in the Bible as the inspired Word of God. I strive to walk in God’s Will every day, although I fall far short. I have a passion for the lost of this world, as the forfeiture of one’s eternal soul is by far the worst thing that can happen to a person. That passion includes local and foreign missions.
As a mature Christian and American, I have witnessed the steady erosion of love and respect for the gospel in my 52+ years. I acknowledge that God is in control. But I believe that as leaders of the Church, we must do everything in our power to spread the gospel to those that are deceived by Satan. It truly is a spiritual battle, Ephesians 6:12.
I also have been intimately involved on a part time basis with the Haitian Ministry since 1998. I love the Haitian people more than I can explain. Lord willing, I will continue to help them until no longer capable.
